The Rt. Rev. Dr. Phil Ashey

BISHOP of DoWA

The Rev. Canon Dr. Phil Ashey was elected on October 19, 2024, as the Third Bishop of the Diocese of Western Anglicans. Originally from California, he studied to be a lawyer and served as a deputy district attorney before attending seminary. He then served for 20 years in full-time parish ministry before joining the American Anglican Council (AAC) full-time in 2008. He has most recently served as the President and CEO of AAC.

Fr. Cody Dotson

RECTOR

Fr. Cody serves as Holy Trinity's Rector (Priest in charge). He was ordained a Priest in May 2024. Previously, he served in churches in St. Louis, MO, and Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary.

Fr. Cody is married to Molly. Together, they have three boys. They both grew up in San Diego and are excited to be back and serving in their hometown!

The Vestry

The vestry is a group of elected lay members of the church who are responsible for supporting the church’s mission by word and deed, ensuring effective organization and planning, and managing resources and finances.
